Mr. Bhuban Kadel has over twenty four years of diversifying banking experience covering both Commercial Bank and Central Bank of the country. He served Nepal Bank Limited for nine years and held key corporate management positions in Financial Management and Treasury Operations Department of the bank garnering extensive experiences on the fields. He later joined Nepal Rastra Bank, the Central Bank of the country, transforming himself from commercial bank executive to regulatory authority developing policies and programs for the banking sector and regulating and supervising banking and financial institutions of the country. He is currently the Executive Director of the Development Bank Supervision department. Prior to this, he worked in Financial Management Department, Public Debt Department and Currency Management Department in various capacities contributing towards achieving core objectives of the Central Bank.
 
Mr. Kadel holds graduate degree in Commerce from Tribhuvan University, a professional degree of Chartered Accountancy from The Institute of Chartered Accounts of India and is the fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nepal. He has participated in number of programs and events at various capacities within and outside the country and has represented Nepal Rastra Bank at various national and international forums. His expertises are in the areas regulation and supervision of BFIs, currency management and auditing & internal control.
 
An avid trekker and sports person, he spends most of his holidays trekking in and around the mountains enjoying the diverse terrains of the country and the nature.
