Mr. Subhakanta Kanungo
Mr. Subhakanta Kanungo, has more than 25 years of working experience in banking sector. He started his career from State Bank of India as Probationary Officer in 1991 and has gained working experience in different sectors such as Credit, Trade Finance, Operation, NPA Management including serving abroad at SBI’s Tokyo Branch for 2 years. Prior to joining Nepal SBI Bank, he was overseeing SME Business of Network-I in Bhubaneshwar Circle of SBI. He holds the Masters degree in Mathematics. He is also a Certified Associate of Indian Institute of Bankers and Certified Anti Money Laundering Specialist.

As per the Nepal Rastra Bank Regulation, all banks and financial institutions that are registered in Nepal Rastra Bank and engaged in credit lending of Rs. 1 million and above facility must be registered in Kendra as its member. Only the registered members can avail the credit reports and other credit information service provided by Kendra.

There are altogether 135 banks and financial institutions that are registered as members of Kendra. The detail statistics of the number of registered members in each category is as follows:
